Talk about a Christmas surprise – and one nobody wanted to receive!
With its intimidating bawn, Tully Castle was considered a powerful stronghold, so it’s no wonder that locals still talk in hushed tones of the dreaded incident even today. Needless to say, the castle has never been lived in again since then.
