Coca Cola’s Campaign?

This year's campaign focuses on one of the core values of Coca-Cola -kindness and not on their product. "The World Needs More Santas" focuses on the idea of being kind and finding Santa in oneself. Multiple times, the brand has been able to show remarkable campaigns to the world around Christmas, starting from their iconic Campaign in 1920, which rebranded Santa to the "Share a Coke campaign". The brand deems the holiday season to be the most suitable to connect with the audience on a deeper level. Their "Wonderful Dreams, Holidays are Coming Campaign" which first went live in 1995, is by far one of the most studied about campaigns across the world. Coca-Cola as a brand does not make desperate attempts to bank on every occasion but only on the ones where they are able to infuse their brand and product seamlessly. In the long run, this particular strategy has allowed the brand to be authentic with its messaging and be associated with Christmas and Santa Claus. They have been able to successfully secure a unique pedestal for them in the display of Christmas marketing campaigns.???

KFC’s Campaign in Japan?

KFC and Christmas go hand in hand in Japan. The brand experiences a whopping 10X in sales around the holiday season, especially around Christmas. It is almost a tradition in Japan for families to gather and eat KFC on Christmas Eve, unlike the rest of the world, which prefers to go fast-food-free and eat home-cooked turkey. You must be wondering if there may be some ancient tradition that connects chicken to Christmas. However, that is not the case; it is not any chicken, only KFC. It turns out this was a brilliant marketing move by Takeshi Okawara, the enterprising manager of the first KFC in Japan in 1970. And the effect of the "Kentucky is Christmas" campaign still continues to reap benefits for the brand. Okawara identified a gap in the market as he heard an expat saying that they missed eating turkey for Christmas and that chicken was the next most ideal choice during the season. He filled the gap by positioning KFC as the best Christmas food, and his campaigns made people feel that Christmas could be another reason for people to come together.?

John Lewis?

John Lewis is one of the most prominent brands and receives even more accolades and fame during the holiday season. Releasing Christmas campaigns is a yearly ritual for them, and they succeed in stirring the waves every time with their messaging in the campaigns. The first-ever campaign came in 2007, and they have been consistent since then. Every year, their customers, marketers and other brands eagerly hang tight for their subsequent Christmas crusade.???

The yearly mission functions admirably in light of the fact that as well as recounting a solid story with a sprinkle of sentimentality, they also make sure that the campaign resonates with the core values of the brand. Something even more unique about this brand is that it dwells on mascots.??

What's so unusual about it???

They develop a new mascot each year around Christmas time and very strategically utilize the powers of these characters alongside their stories.???

Every John Lewis campaign is presumed to have a massive budget for the making and publishing of the campaign as well. The straightforward and predictable message is to abandon nobody on Christmas day. Everybody needs a little love from each other, particularly during the merry season.?

Googles’ “Home alone again” Campaign??

When there's buzz about the best marketing campaign around Christmas, Google's "home alone again" campaign is one campaign that cannot be missed. This campaign included scenes from the notable 1990 film while exhibiting Google's products. Macaulay Culkin again got into the shoes of his character Kevin McCallister in this comedic "revamp" of the exemplary film after 28 years. Google took advantage of the audience's adoration for the holiday season and how it is all about people meeting and coming together. The campaign shows that Kevin is back to his old stunts but with a bit of twist and the twist is Google Home, and he uses it to do all his tasks, from scheduling to everyday shopping. This campaign was one of the most viewed ones and stacked up nearly 70.7 million views alone in its release year. The brand was able to successfully infuse its product with the Christmas theme and show how its product is extremely useful. The Christmas campaign pulled in heaps of virtual entertainment considerations from everyone, further associating the brand with those probably going to buy a smart speaker for their home.?
