Christmas Giving ways to help the less fortunate.

Christmas is a happy time of the year, giving and sharing time with loved ones and making an effort to speak to those people who you pass by or smile at you every day.

I would encourage you to think of others less fortunate it maybe your neighbour, the elder person, the homeless person, single parent, someone out of work...helping others this Christmas may make their Christmas that bit better than you think.

Food banks are becoming less and less due to the soaring costs in energy and inflation but if you can and when you come across a food bank donation it docent matter how little you donate it helps others.

Ideas on what food banks would appreciate, food for thought!

Cereal, Soup, Pasta,Rice, Pasta sauce, beans, Tinned meat, Tinned vegetables, Tea/Coffee/hot chocolate. Tinned fruit, Biscuits. ( ring pull cans if possible ). consider teams that don't need cooking. Sweets, Chocolate... NON FOOD ITEMS: Toiletries- Deodorant, Toilet paper, Shower gel, Shaving gel, Shampoo, Soap, Toothbrushes,Toothpaste, Hand wipes. Laundry liquid, Detergent, Laundry powder / capsules, Washing up liquid Nappies, baby milk, Baby knitwear, Socks, Gloves, Hats. Bags are very important for the food bank and charities have to deliver your kindness.

The above is food for thought, have a great Christmas, keep well, stay safe and keep smiling :-)
