A Christmas Gesture.

You may not realise, I run a wine group called Unearthing Winelovers. It’s a social club essentially and we do events and dinners. We also raise money for charities.
So, each year we buy Turkey’s for the Chat n Chew Program’s Christmas Lunch. Last Christmas we raised $300 – and this Christmas we have already raised nearly $400 (note; for the year in total we raised nearly $4000).
We believe good mental health is a sense of wellbeing, confidence and self-esteem.
“It is important to our social group members to always consider and support others if we have the opportunity. While we have a great time and enjoy ourselves, we recognise not everyone does, or can. This is a simple way we can support those people in our community.“ -Charlie
The Chat ‘n’ Chew program is managed by Uniting Care Wesley, Port Adelaide and provides an opportunity for more than 700 people to enjoy some independence, make friends and feel connected with others in our local community. One in five Australians will suffer from a mental illness in any given year.
If you would like to support the charity work of my Unearthing Winelovers group, please feel free to throw cash at me (into the bucket), or donate online via www.paypal.me/unearthing
Thank you in advance.

7 年Finishing the day on a high. Why? Read on (proud of my #winelovers) ========= recap Good mental health is a sense of wellbeing, confidence and self-esteem. This is our favourite charity and we try to raise enough to pay for their Christmas Lunch. Last year we raised around $300 for Christmas... and nearly $3000 for the year in total. ========= Today we announce – our total raised this Christmas (to buy their turkey) is double last year - $600. Well done all. You make me love you more.
