Christmas Edition.

Christmas Edition.

Christmas Day is done for another year and today it’s Boxing Day!

I’ve gotten my workout in for the day and it was much needed after over indulging in festive foods yesterday.

You know what I mean, right? I was at the point where I wasn’t even feeling hungry but, continued to eat and eat up until 11pm. Did I feel guilt and shame?

Not really.

Why? Because I had a great day. I watched my son open his presents. He was literally shaking with excitement the minute he woke up. I like food, I won’t lie. And I think that I actually got my maintenance calories in. Even if it consisted of some chocolates and biscuits. When your son offers you some of his chocolates it’s hard to say no ??

It’s been a very rare occasion this past year where I’ve actually switched off from work.

I’m already planning for this coming year and I intend to get my first on day plan done over the remainder of this week.

So, have you found yourself sitting around this Xmas?

I tell you what, I got on my foam roller this morning and wow. My legs were stiff.

I’ve even brought it home with me to get some more rolling in.

A foam roller is literally like a massage. But, you do it yourself.

I recommend to everyone I meet in my business to purchase one.

And, if you’ve found yourself sitting for a long time, or even if you’ve gotten out for a walk or run over the past couple of days then doing 5-10 minutes on a roller will certainly help your recovery.

Here’s a few release techniques.

Quads

Calves

Glutes

With the new year upon us. I know that for many that health and fitness is a top priority.

Setting intentions is far more powerful than resolutions.

Finding something you enjoy and making that a habit will see you get results in the long run with consistency.

If you are experiencing pains and discomfort in your body and would like to get that sorted before you embark upon those goals is always a good idea.

I’ve given you a good starting point with some foam rolling ??

If you want some more help you can schedule a 15 minute call with me here (Jan 2nd onwards).

That’s all for now. Have a good rest of Christmas.
