As the festive season unfolds, our hearts resonate with echoes of compassion and unity. At the Catholic Cathedral of St. John Nepomuk in Suceava, an enchanting event occurred on December 8th. Through the support and generous contributions of over 300 attendees, the Christmas Charity Concert, organized by the ASSIST Humanitarian Foundation, stands as a testament to the power of collective giving.

The evening was graced?by the pro-bono performance of talented artists from diverse regions, conducted under the skillful guidance of Maestro Johannes-Raimund Onesciuc. Their collective talents intertwined seamlessly, symbolizing the spirit of unity and shared humanity.

Saving lives through generosity and good deeds

The concert wasn't just a musical celebration but a resonating call to action, an initiative dedicated to raising funds for an important cause. Our goal? To acquire 3 sets of mannequins tailored for cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, benefiting the dedicated teams of the Suceava Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU Suceava).

Statistics show that a low percentage of Romanians know how to give first aid. This is why we need to facilitate access to training and provide the opportunity to practice life-saving maneuvers for our own and others' safety. The CPR mannequins offer accurate representations of the human body and help train paramedics and volunteers.?

Currently, ISU Suceava coordinates the "Passionate Rescuer" program, uniting over 1000 volunteers from Suceava who are committed to supporting medical personnel and saving lives. The mannequins will play a pivotal role in the program and schools, as they are an integral part of the curriculum during alternative lessons. Paramedics, upon request, went to educational institutions to educate the younger community members about?first aid.?

11,665€?raised for ISU Suceava's first aid training?

Through the overwhelming support received, both in physical donations and online contributions, we've raised 3.638€. With the invaluable involvement of ASSIST Software, doubling the efforts?of our supporters, the total sum gathered rose to an extraordinary 10.910€, reflecting our community's commitment. NOVAOPTIC Ophthalmology Clinic supported this cause with a donation of 300€. Due to this contribution and the online assistance that came in later, we put together the amount of 11,665€.

The funds collected will soon materialize into tangible assistance, as the 3 sets of mannequins will reach the towns of Suceava, R?d?u?i, and Vatra Dornei, strengthening our collective capacity to respond swiftly to emergencies.?
