Christians who think they understand the New Testament

The Jews boasted that they had the Word of God unlike the Gentiles. But because they did not live according to the Word, they finally rejected the Messiah prophesied in the Word of God even though He was in their midst. In the same way, we too can deceive ourselves into thinking that we know all about the New Testament.

We get this from Romans Chapter 2 - "The heart of a true New Testament Christian is always right with God".

You may be saying, "It's sad that many Christians don't understand the way we understand the New Testament."

But wait a little. Honestly test whether your life is better than the Christians who do not understand the New Testament. Do you take pride in knowing the New Testament in word? Or have you entered the New Testament life?

We know that God is righteous and there is no partiality in Him. Just because you claim to be a New Testament Christian, do you think that God will not judge you for doing the same things that other Christians do?

God is very patient with you. He is blessing you with many opportunities so that you may know your position in His light. So judge yourself according to God's favor with you and repent.

But since you not only understand the New Testament but are able to explain it, you may think that all is well with you. Now you who preach to others, do not live as you preach. So God's judgment may be more on you.

A day is coming when God will judge the thoughts, attitudes and motives of men. Then God will reward them according to their deeds. Those who patiently do His will and seek the glory and honor of God will inherit eternal life. But He will reject those who claim to know the New Testament with selfishness, spiritual pride and living in secret sin.

New Testament Christians and nominal Christians who always live in sin and do not repent are left to suffer eternally. But God honors and glorifies those who obey God, whether they claim to be New Testament Christians or not.

God punishes sin no matter where it is. God also punishes non-Christians according to their sin. Because even though they don't have the Bible, God has given them a conscience that knows good and bad. God's laws are written in them. And their conscience either convicts or acquits (accepts).

If the New Testament Christians lived in sin, God punished them more because they did not obey God's commandments even if they knew them. Those who only know what to do will not be saved but those who do it will be saved and God requires more from those who are given more.

So as 'New Testament Christians', even if you only know God's truths, don't think that there is no problem between you and God. Because you know what He wants, that is, you understand all the things in the New Testament, and based on that, you can imagine that you are special to God. Do not imagine that you are the light that leads the common people into the deeper truths of God.

But examine thyself first. Have you, who teach others not to steal, ever been credited with something you did not do? Tell me it's wrong to commit adultery Are you attracted to beautiful girls? Tell me not to worship idols. Are you making wealth as your god?

Are you proud of knowing God's New Testament and disrespecting Him by the way you live?

Knowing the New Testament is only good if you live by it. But if you don't live up to it, you're no better than anyone else. The other Christians whom you look down upon do not know the New Testament, but if they keep God's commandments, God will reward them. If you know more about the words of God and about God, but you do not live like that, they will be better than you on the day of judgment.

You do not become a New Testament Christian just because you belong to a New Testament church or understand their truths. He who judges himself and lives victoriously every day and whose heart is always right with God is a true New Testament Christian.

God does not look for those whose doctrines are right, but those who cooperate to be transformed by the Holy Spirit in their hearts and minds to live like the Lord Jesus every day. God will glorify those who have changed their lives on the last day.

He that hath ears hearken.
