Are Christian students becoming victims of university life?
In 2011, research carried out from Durham University showed that 73% of Christian students failed to get involved with a faith community during their time at university. Why was this? Despite all the wonderful youth work carried out by our churches across the country, are we sending our young people away on the back foot when it comes to sharing their faith?
Why does there appear to be a lack of confidence in discussing their faith in Jesus? How can we send our young people off feeling ready and excited about sharing their faith with others – proactive in helping other students discover the hope they have found? Instead of becoming victims of life on campus, how can they get off the back foot and onto the front foot - truly being, and speaking, good news?
That’s why we produced Living & Telling.
“Wow – I just got back from Living & Telling and had a discussion about Jesus with my best friends who are not Christians. Coincidence? I think not!” Amy
