Christian Real Estate Investors

Christian investors recognize the constant temptation to put our trust in human devices rather than in God, and such trust is clearly misplaced. It's the" rather than" that creates the problem, it implies an either-or condition. Either we trust God to do something or we do it. We believe this condition is unnecessary and that God expects us to take a both-and approach in our management of his resources. We both trust God to do something and we do it. Many scriptures indicate that God will provide our needs. But he also mandated that we work. God provides and we work. He invites us to seek his wisdom, but he expects us to use the intelligence he gave us in making decisions. He distributed money to three different men in the parable of the talents, but he expected them, as his stewards, to do something with it, to put it to work for an increase. God entrusts resources and we manage them for growth. He cares for the poor and needy, but he expects us to participate in meeting their needs. God gives and we give. God has not called us to passivity. Trusting him does not mean lack of action on our part. James drives this home. using Abraham as an example, he says, his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. How does that relate to investing in real estate? We should take responsibility to manage Gods resources prudently while we trust him implicitly for everything beyond our control. We act within the scope of what he has entrusted to us using the tools available to us. We believe that investments are prudent management tools within the master's expectation for our stewardship. We are also careful to keep them from eroding our complete dependence upon God, who alone is worthy of our trust. We look to him for guidance we act accordingly, and we trust him for the results
