The lingering impact of historical misinformation. Misinformation and half-truths propagated by elites in the past continue to influence us today. Many still fall for these deceptive tactics, as the truth is often concealed or misrepresented. Throughout history, manipulative individuals have utilized information redaction as a powerful tool. For instance, while we commonly associate slavery with the colonial era, it was a widespread practice from 1500 to 1880. Slavery existed universally, with instances of various ethnic groups enslaving one another. However, this reality has been distorted in historical narratives, leading to a skewed understanding of the nature and extent of slavery.
Similarly, fear-mongering has been used to manipulate public perception. While there was once concern about an impending ice age, the focus has shifted to global warming. Public figures like Al Gore and John Kerry have discussed the alarming consequences of unchecked carbon emissions. However, it is essential to question the motivations behind these warnings and assess the scientific basis for these claims. Today, nearly a half-century later, the intrusive EPA is the most dictatorial and economically destructive of all of America's regulatory agencies. The out-of-control agency has even gone so far as to declare CO2 (plant food) a "pollutant."* Did you know polar bears are growing in population? Antarctica is gaining in ice? The sea levels have not risen in over a century.** Don't worry. They will have new topics of panic.
