I am a firm believer in constant reflection. That is one of the reasons I do a journal/diary of the things which are happening in my life: The good, the bad, the ugly—you name it. Besides the more inward-focused activities, I write down about the things I experience in business, as an Author and a leader (learner).

These activities help me to reflect constantly, to see patterns, but most of all: to see how far I have come. I do this at least twice a year in detail and do a kind of success summary, where I write down the highlights on a separate sheet of paper. To my own surprise, the list got longer and longer each year (and I hope that this will continue).

I encourage you to do the same. Otherwise, we miss a great part of being thankful and learning. But also to appreciate the learnings and successes in a deeper way! Onward, upwards together!
