Chris MAUGHAN from AES, THE COMPANY LEADING THE WAY IN ACCOMMODATION AND EVENTS IN CANNES By TRACEY ANDREWS

Cannes is a very popular destination, and well know for its glitz and glamour of the famous CANNES FILM FESTIVAL, although what many people are not aware of is that CANNES has more than one Congress that attracts thousands of visitors each year.

As part of my global travel catching up with CEO"s and industry leaders to find out what makes the elite tick, I caught up with Chris MAUGHAN CEO and founder of AES ACCOMMODATION LTD and AES EVENTS GROUP the leader in corporate accommodation and event management in Cannes,

Tracey : So Chris how long have you lived in Cannes ?

Chris : I moved to the French Riviera in March 2000 so coming up 18 years, I lived in Cannes for the first 8 years and after moved to Mougins, where I currently live with my wife and 3 children

Tracey : What made you start AES in such a competitive industry ?

Chris : I did not see the industry as very competitive, it was a busy industry many people offering the service of corporate accommodation but in fact their was no one really with the vision of doing it to such a high level, so I looked at this as a gap in the market and had a long term vision of creating a company with high end quality products and services to corporate organizations visiting CANNES

Tracey : what would you say is your greatest achievement ?

Chris : Honestly !! Our property portfolio, Our business model was offering privately owned properties to our corporate clients, although my vision was to build our own property portfolio, and in 2014 we reach our goal of 12 non financed rental properties, so this would have to be up there as our greatest achievement

Tracey : Who is responsible for the success of AES ?

Chris : The whole team 100%, we have a very experienced team who all contribute to their area of expertise, although a huge mention must go to my wife and business partner, and best freind Mary TANGALE, without Mary AES would not be where it is today.

Tracey : Would you say you are the leader within your industry ?

Chris : This is something I let other people decide, Its not for me to say, but yes 100% ( Chris Laughs ) of course we are, there are several reason why we are, We work with the leading brands around the world including GOOGLE, TWITTER, FOX CHANNELS, SPOTIFY, YOU TUBE, IPG, MEDIA LINK, LINKED IN, BUZZ FEED, DAILY MAIL, NIKE, PARAMOUNT PICTURES, DISNEY, ADDIDAS, its impossible to work with such clients year in year out if you are not the leader in your field, This sounds big headed I know but its the truth and I am all about the truth......

Tracey : You also founded I-PRAC why I-PRAC ?

I-PRAC | Protcecting Consumers Globally from Rental Fraud

Chris : Yes that's correct, working within the rental industry we saw a huge increase in online fraud that was effecting our industry so I decided to do something about it, I am not a person to talk about problems I prefer to be the one who solves them. I-PRAC launched in 2015 and has now over 200,000 members in over 28 countries, and is currently the sole platform that operates protecting consumers from Rental Fraud.

Tracey : You are involved in your own Charity supporting children in Africa ?

The Charity work of AES

Chris: Yes this is correct, myself and my wife love helping others, and Africa is COUNTRY very close to the hearts of myself and my wife, and as parents we understand how much underprivileged children deserve as much support as possible. Back in 2010 we committed to helping children in Africa, by raising money to build a school to develop the education of 100 children, All the TEAM at AES are committed to our charity, Its an important part of the DNA of AES

We also help the homeless by donating food and clothes and also support mental health in business to create awareness of how much mental health can effect people in business....so yes we try to give back a little on our journey....

Tracey : Ok so what about you what do you do to relax ?

Chris : I love spending time at home with my family and doing outdoor activities, I like to eat out in nice restaurants and drinking nice red wine, I am passionate about sport and keeping healthy so I go to the gym every day ( apart from Saturdays & Sundays ) Oh and I love to play golf

Tracey : Come on quick one....favorite Film ?

Chris : Oh this is a tough one, I would have to say Good-fellas, but ask me next week I could say The Godfather ( Trilogy) but I am a sucker for Rocky 1.....

Tracey : What advise would you give to young people wanting to start out in business ?

Chris : Do something you are passionate about, passion makes work a pleasure, stay focused and don't listen to doubters, surround yourself with positive people, don't be afraid to try, and balance work and life......success is not calculated by Money, Happiness, Health, Wealth, Family get these 4 right you will smash it....

Tracey : favorite Quote ?

Chris : There are so many great quotes that have been said over the years, and so many I have personally added to my own mind set, But I would have to go with Churchill " When you are going through hell Keep Going"...

Tracey : What next for you ?

Chris : Well we will continue to grow and provide the service to our clients for many years to come, We will develop and continue on our Journey to clean up the Rental Industry through the I-PRAC platform, and I will try to get my golf handicap down to under 10.....
