Many of you who follow me on Facebook, Twitter, or through the Sports Dude know my love of music and concerts (was at Billy Joel last weekend, and have U2 coming up on Saturday).
I’m unashamedly an ’80s New-Wave/punker, and Eric was a club DJ throughout the ’80s and ’90s (ashamedly for the Red Onion), but we love all things music and I have a special affinity for the ’90s Seattle music scene (no NKOTB for me).
This morning I woke to the news that Chris Cornell, frontman for Soundgarden, collaborator with Eddie Vedder in Temple of the Dog, as well as Audioslave, had died.
Reality just took a huge bite; GenX is going to have a collectively shitty day today. RIP @ChrisCornell.

Heather----very moving article. As a spouse to someone who has been battling depression for many years, I know how this disease is incredibly inexplicable and confounding. From time to time, we read about high-achieving lawyers that take their own lives, but the toll of depression in the legal field is vastly understated.

Very sad :(( Thank you for this authentic article. I attended 3 funerals last year for men in their 50s who took their own lives and none of us saw it coming. One was a lawyer. I couldn't stop crying for their pain and for the wives and young children they left behind. I'll be at U2 this Saturday....
