Decisions happen. Everywhere. All the time.?
DECISIONS, DECISIONS, DECISIONS, DECISIONS
???What will I say?
??What will I eat?
??What will I wear?
??Who will I trust?
??How will I move forward?
??Where will I go?
??When will I act?
It's estimated that every day an average adult makes about 35,000 decisions that involve at least some degree of conscious thought. ??
HUMAN EXPERIMENT???
Let’s do a fun experiment.??
Close your eyes. Well...NOT YET. Read a little more before you actually close your eyes because it'll be hard to keep reading with your eyes closed. Right? ??Sorry.
So, close your eyes...and for 10 seconds get as angry as you can.??
HOWEVER. Here’s the caveat: you CAN'T HAVE ANY ANGRY THOUGHTS. So 10 seconds - get as angry as you can. However, NO angry thoughts.?
Ok - go ahead. Give it a go. 10 seconds. I’ll be here. Angry as you can; no angry thoughts...?
COGITO ERGO SENTIO ??????
How'd that go? Are you feeling angry?
Of course not. ??
Because you can't get angry without having angry thoughts.
BTW, this isn’t just about anger...it’s the same with ANY emotion. ????
When we're intentional about our thoughts, we can decide how to feel.
SENTIO ERGO FACIO
??We can decide how to feel about losing a job.
??We can decide how to feel about that guy that cut us off in traffic.
??We can decide how to feel about the one that broke our heart.
???We can decide how to feel about an election.
We can decide to feel whatever way most empowers us to take action to get the results we want.
Is this always easy? ?No.
Is this always possible??? Yes.
What could you make happen if you just decided to feel the way you want, today? ??Eric
