??? Choosing Yourself Isn’t Selfish—It’s Essential! ??????

We’ve all heard the phrase "put yourself first"—but how often do we actually do it? The truth is, choosing yourself and doing what feels right for you is not selfish at all. In fact, it’s one of the most self-loving and necessary acts you can commit to.

Here’s the thing: selfish isn’t about you taking care of your own needs, desires, and goals. It’s about expecting others to always put you first while disregarding their own needs.?

Selfishness, in the truest sense, is when we demand that others bend to our will and put us before their own priorities without considering their own feelings or boundaries.

But choosing yourself? That’s about honouring your own well-being, setting boundaries, and recognising that your happiness matters. Taking time for self-care, pursuing your passions, or simply saying “no” when you need to is a healthy, empowered choice. It’s about showing up for yourself so that you can show up even better for others.

Think about it this way—how can you be there for others if you’re constantly running on empty? How can you offer love, support, or even a listening ear if you haven’t taken the time to recharge and fill your own cup??

The most effective way to be truly generous with others is to first be generous with yourself.

It’s time to stop feeling guilty about doing what makes you happy. Whether it’s taking a few hours for yourself, following your own dreams, or simply saying “no” to something that doesn’t align with your needs—these are all acts of self-care that benefit everyone around you in the long run.

Remember, choosing yourself doesn’t mean you love others any less. It means you love yourself enough to nurture your own health and happiness. And when you do that, you become the best version of yourself—strong, balanced, and able to give from a place of abundance.

So go ahead—choose you! You’re worth it. ??
