Choosing Transition For Greater Purpose And Passion

Choosing Transition For Greater Purpose And Passion

In seeing transition as a way of life, a byproduct of our call, similar to that of a rose, to keep growing, expanding, and coming more and more into the real beauty and authenticity of who we are, we can come to see that call for change as a blessing and as a call to expand.

Whether it is the result of outside forces ending something for us (Notice I didn’t say to us.), or the result of an unspecified impatience, agitation, of calling from within us, transition is the reality that says you have outgrown where you are, what you are doing, and/or how you are doing it. At times that means a call to “more”, at other times it is a call to “different.”

In the ideal world, those calls come when everything else in your life is running smoothly, successfully, and without a wrinkle in sight. In the real world, however, they frequently come when you least expect them. While doing a puzzle, mowing the lawn, or on a call with a friend or business acquaintance. The timing is detailed. The real gift is in knowing it’s time, yet again…

Time for what?

Frequently, we have no clue in those first few sentences we say to ourselves.? We just realize it’s time for a transition, something significant needs to change.

Then comes: Where? How? Why? When confusion quiets down and we breathe, clarity usually happens without any real difficulty.

Perhaps it’s time for greater impact by becoming involved in some form of service, or it’s time to take your career or business to the next level, it’s time to explore changing your lifestyle, to commit to your health, to take that vacation you, as a workaholic, have put off for years.????

The specifics may not be as clear, but the realization, the call, is loud and clear – it was experienced as rush, a joy, a peace, or a wave of pure clarity and realization. It’s at that next point that your fear can show up and you quickly find ways to procrastinate yet again, to over-analyze, to doubt, to question if you really felt that knowing, that realization of greater clarity than you have head in years. You may even want to think you’re making it all up.?

For a moment those reactions can feel like the safest, the easiest, and the smartest response. Nonetheless, something in you knows it was absolutely real, Your soul? Your inner knowing? Your gut instincts? Your own energetic/body experience of that overwhelming clarity that washed over you? The real question is are you going to play it safe, commit self-betrayal, or do the freeing, exciting, and scary work of discovering within yourself, what is next, what you are being called to do??

I began my specialized work in helping leaders in transition because I see the beauty, the freedom, and the call in transition. Perhaps because I have followed so many myself, through the fears, tears, and shifts into a level of freedom, expansion, joy, and peace I never knew. Knowing it means changing you, your perspective on life, and your role in it, not just your situation, can cause you to stop and catch your breath on occasion but what an adventure you get to live.?

To truly live is our calling. To be open to the risks and the growth that entails means opening to you, to love, to connection, and to experiencing a self you may never have known existed. Breathe, pray, and reflect, then jump in. It is so worth it!?

Call if you need help, guidance, or a kick in the backside, I’m good at all three...

In the meantime, have a great week.
