Not choosing is still a choice...

Good morning!

We are jumping right into it today. Not making a choice, is a choice.

For years when I was a CRO in Corporate America, I fooled myself into thinking that not making a choice was part of my job.

I wasn't fulfilled.

I wasn't working side by side with people that wanted me to shine and grow.

I wasn't living my purpose and passion.

I was collecting a paycheck and waiting for something to happen.

Here's the thing, it did happen.

The CEO that I worked for became ill and he elevated his daughter to replace him.

She fired me immediately and got rid of the CRO role.

Now you can imagine what has happened to the company's stock price since that day...

But what really mattered to me was that my stock dropped so drastically I didn't know if I would be able to bounce back. My confidence was shattered.

Here's what I learned:

Take your control back.

Don't wait for someone else to determine your future.

Follow your passions, they were given to you for a reason and the world needs you to rock them.

Take a chance on you, it is the best bet you will ever make.

I didn't know any of these things would happen I simply bet on myself and figured it out along the way. What are you sleeping on that could come forward if you took the chance on you?

What I wish I had was someone who could show me where to go and what steps to take.

I wish I had a team to run with so I didn't have to go it alone. Today, you don't have to go it alone.

Success is great but it's so much greater when you accomplish things as part of a team.

My team is the only reason I boarded a plane for the Middle East this year.

The accountability you have when you are around like-minded people doesn't allow you to not go for more.
