Choosing To Gain Momentum

Choosing To Gain Momentum

Closing in on my last week of 75 Hard. Maybe one of the more difficult rounds of 75 Hard that I’ve done. Doing this through the holidays, through winter, it definitely hasn’t been easy. Add on top of that traveling across the country and continuing to make decisions to not drink. All to stay on the program.

On top of 75 Hard, I’ve made sure to complete the power list as well. Making it all doable things that move me forward. Where I am making that 1% progress every day. Not sliding backwards and inching towards my goals. Some days there is big improvements. Other days I get the list done an take it easy after that. Then there are the few days that I’m up until 11:30 PM to get things done and to finish what’s required.

Test days. Days that really test your resolve. The days where you just don’t want to do something, like get a workout in at 10 PM or read those last pages as you’re falling asleep. These are tests. I am glad to say that thus far, I’ve passed.

Here’s the deal. Those days don’t come around all the time. When they do it’s an opportunity to get stronger. It’s an opportunity to get better. Because if we don’t pass those days when they appear, we are moving backwards. Doing the bare minimum most of the times is just staying still. It’s not really progressing you. More people are doing more than the bare minimum.

Make it your responsibility to do what you need to do on a daily basis. Doing the things that move you forward in all areas of your life. Which is what makes 75 Hard + Power List so powerful. It’s getting my mind right with the reading, my body right with the workouts and my business right with the power list.

That momentum might feel small at first, but it builds. It’s building every day. Now it is also my responsibility to keep it moving forward. To keep it pushing in the right direction. To go where I need to go and make the moves required.

Those test days aren’t easy, but when you conquer them and when you have 30, 60 or 90 days stacked, good things happen. All you have to do is keep that momentum going.

Through this time of year, keep your head up. Take those 30 minutes away from the family to knock out what you can. Keep moving forward. There is always time to move forward. Time to do the few things you know that will move you ahead.

All of us know what needs to be done, it’s just a matter of doing it. Keep your head up. I have found that this power, this momentum that I’ve built is so empowering. I feel good physically and mentally. You too can do the same, it is only a choice. Today you can make that decision. The choice is yours.?
