Choosing Faith Over Doubt
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." - Hebrews 11:1 NIV
Faith is not blind optimism; it is a firm assurance in God's sovereignty, even when the evidence isn't clear before our eyes.
Doubt creeps in when we focus on the current challenges instead of the finish line. When we focus on our own capacity and not on God's promises.
Jesus talked about the mountain-moving power of faith in Matthew 21:21: "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." He is calling us to trust so deeply in God's sovereignty, to trust that even our biggest dreams can be possible because we know He's in control.
So today, as you face decisions that might stir up fear or uncertainty, choose faith. Choose to believe in God's ability to do what seems impossible in your life. When doubt whispers that you can't overcome, let your faith shout back, "With God, all things are possible!"
