Choosing the Best Cameras

Choosing the best cameras for your house of worship broadcast has

never been easy. Not only do you have to consider budget, you

also have to consider how you are going to be using your cameras

(IMAG, video on demand, streaming broadcast?), and (if you are

still using SD) how to start the transition to HD or 4K. To determine this,

you need to have a plan in place. What do you want your cameras to do

right out of the box? What are you planning on doing with your cameras in

the future? Will they grow with you as your broadcast needs evolve? Sitting

down and putting pen to paper and making a list of ‘must-haves’ versus

‘wants’ will help you as you begin your research. Talking to other houses of

worship with broadcast ministries you admire is a good place to start, as

well as visiting applicable trade shows and checking out different cameras

and speaking with manufacturers and integrators. From there, you can

decide whether you are best served by consumer, pro-sumer or broadcast
