Choose to 'Command With Courage' in 2025!

In a galaxy of corporate challenges, some of you have successfully navigated the treacherous asteroid field of 2024, emerging victorious like a Jedi Knight after a grueling mission. However, others are feeling a bit uneasy about how the journey unfolded this past year.

Was mere survival your goal in 2024, young Padawan?

Let us reflect on some of the aspirations you may have held for your enterprise:

?? To see your business flourish under your guidance like a thriving spaceport

?? To witness revenue flow into your coffers like the waterfalls of Naboo

?? To train your clone troopers—er, employees—to be more effective than ever

?? To spark creativity and innovation like a finely-tuned, droid factory

??? To quell workplace drama and ensure communication flows as freely as the Force

Despite these good intentions, these often remain but holograms of hope rather than well-defined battle plans or strategies for effectively leading in the 21st Century or in a galaxy far, far, away.

So, I ask you, wise one...What actions did you take in 2024 that represented walking the courageous path of leadership?

?Did you invest in yourself, addressing your leadership gaps like a Padawan honing their Force skills?

?How much did you talk, like Jabba, versus listen, like a droid, to what was being said around you?

? In what ways did you develop your teams, as Yoda trained generations of Jedi?

?Whom did you personally mentor, guiding them to reach their full potential, as Obi-Wan did for Anakin?

?How did you embrace adversity as an opportunity for growth, much like Luke on his journey to master the Force?

?In what ways did you use empathy to connect with your troops, as a true Jedi connects with all living things?

?Where did you choose to be bold, taking risks to achieve greatness, as the Rebellion did against the Empire?

?How did you use vulnerability as a catalyst, much like Vader’s final redemption?

Fear not f these questions leave you feeling as lost as a Stormtrooper on Endor. The path to wisdom is ever-unfolding, much like the mysteries of the Force itself.        

The Corporate Jedi Code: 'Command With Courage'

As an organizational leadership Jedi, I have distilled the essence of leadership into a code, much like the Jedi Code of old.

My principles to Command With Courage:

• Command of one's self, actions, and behaviors - as a Jedi controls the Force
• Operate with optimism in all areas of your life - for hope is the foundation of the Light Side
• Unleash your empathy and adopt a people-first mindset - for a Jedi feels the Living Force in all beings
• Recognize, Understand & manage your emotions - lest you fall to the Dark Side
• Ask more questions and talk less with your teams - for wisdom comes from listening to the Force
• Grow your resilience from adversity and setbacks - as a lightsaber is forged in the heat of creation
• Embrace your vulnerability and use it as a superpower - for in weakness, we find true strength

If you look closely, you’ll see the principles are formed from the word COURAGE. The leadership path is not for the faint of heart. It requires presence, boldness, creativity and innovation. You will face trials, as all Jedi do. But remember, through failure, you learn. Through perseverance, you grow. Through action, you triumph.
