Choice Hotels + The Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation
Choice Hotels and Steve Joyce, have stepped up in a big way to help me. Here’s the thing about Steve Joyce. He’s the President & CEO of one of the largest, most successful hospitality companies in the world. Everyone knows Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Sleep Inn - that’s Choice Hotels. But he is a regular guy. He tells me he didn’t grow up with a lot. But, he knows he was lucky to have family and loved ones around always looking out for him. So he knows how important it is for kids to get a solid start in life, a strong foundation. And that to teach kids about the right choices, you have to start young. So two years ago, he came down to the camp to serve as a mentor to the boys. He says he was humbled, he was moved and he wanted to do more.
I had just lost my airline sponsor and those tickets are expensive! So he came up with a point donation program that his company would match dollar for dollar through its loyalty program, Choice Privileges. The Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation - Choice Privileges Points Donation Program enables Choice Privileges members to donate loyalty points to be redeemed for cash to benefit the Foundation. Then, Choice Hotels adds their corporate match. Last year’s donation program was so successful. In fact, $100,000 was raised for the Foundation. This year, Choice Hotels has its sights set even higher and wants to kick it up a notch! Steve Joyce joined me on the show to announce that Choice Hotels will now match donations up to $75,000! That’s a potential $150,000 to support programs like our Mentoring Camp.
But that’s not all. If you are not a Choice Privileges member, but want to start giving, Choice Hotels has something special just for you. Go to HERE and join Choice Privileges. Choice Hotels will give you 500 points when you join AS WELL AS donate an additional 500 points to the Foundation. So here’s the deal folks. We want to do business with a company that supports what we are trying to do to improve our communities, to lift up our youth. So go HERE and check out the program.

10 个月Hello!!! How's everyone feeling today? How has your day been going? My name is Juan Moore Jr. and I have a awesome testimony to share with the youth and I believe I can help save lives. Well my name is Juan Moore Jr. and I had a an addition to pain pills (OXYCODONE) & (XANEX) they almost costed me my life by putting me into a Coma for 5 days. As a result of using those drugs, now I can't walk or talk, I call myself a head without a body ,just imagine yourself in a sleep paralyzis 24/7 to where you can't move or talk like you want to. But I strongly believe that I can make a difference in the youth lives. If you're interested in hearing more about my story, please respond back. thanks & have blessed day

4 年In light of everything, we have ever been involved in growing up through childhood and into adulthood. We can all relate to the discrimination and injustice that can happen to you for just being black in America is no secret. But this topic was never addressed until recent events of another African American getting murdered by the hands of some officers that did not act in the manner of how law enforcement was sworn to the oath that they took and have the duty to protect and serve. This artist and CEO of BCMG also known as (Big City Music Group) Kehinda Layi Pryor aka Dirty Eagle addresses this issue in his new song that has been aired on Power 92 radio station of Hammond, IN, and many other platforms. The song is called "FREEDOM" https://youtu.be/_2pZLo1zaH8

4 年Hello, my name is Khalilah Horton. I live in Toledo, Ohio with a a ten year old disabled son. I currently work in a residential treatment center for kids, and the issue is that I have cataracts in both of my eyes. I can barely see...???? I have employer insurance which doesn't cover the procedure, and I am over the bracket financially for state assistance. I applied many times and was rejected. Being a single mother raising a child with autism is a blessing in disguise. I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world. But I have suffered this condition for over 2 years now. It's coming to it's end. I am literally going blind. I applied for loans and financing, but was denied. More than anything in the world, I just don't want to go blind. People out here are wishing for material things ,when all I want is to raise my son with my eyesight. I have no one else to ask, I've done research, etc. Please, can you help me? God bless, Khalilah Horton ????? (567)377-7631.
