Choice & Destiny | The Beautiful Connection | Distant Yet Intertwined

There is a beautiful and profound connection between our power of choice and destiny.

Destiny is written and you can’t escape it, but still, you have the power to choose in this world. If there is a deep hole in front of you and by jumping in you know that you will not survive, you have the choice to whether jump in or not. It’s your choice, you can’t say this I am going to jump and die because my destiny is written to die like this. You don’t know how it is written, but you have the power to choose whether to jump in or not.

Every moment you have a choice, you choose what to drink, what to eat, and the dress you wear. Many factors come into play while you make a choice but in the end, it’s up to you to choose.

Whether you take examples like moving your hand in different directions, opening and closing your eyes, what to watch or hear on your smartphones or you take big decision-making examples that will impact your whole life, choosing your educational and professional field, your friends circle and your life partner, and more. In every situation, you have the power of choice from the nature.

Choice and destiny, are apart but connected. We have to do our part to expect good results. A sweet reward for the right choices you make, sooner or later.

Suppose, you are a student and you studied hard and with consistency for a year because you wanted to perform well to secure a scholarship. It will also earn you recognition from everyone, especially from your parents. But your plans got ruined because of the coronavirus, almost the whole world was closed so was your educational center, and students were sent to the next classes based on their previous records.

It makes you sad and depressed as you see your hard work was zero at the end, in this helpless situation you envy your friends who didn’t spend the entire year studying and enjoyed a lot and now they also make fun of you for not going out with them.

In this unexpected turn of events, you still have a choice to either feel sorry for yourself and decide not to put in the hard work for the next year or appreciate yourself for putting in the time and it has given you an edge over others.

You can decide to pursue the next year with the same energy and effort and perform even better in the coming exams. If you stay in control of your emotions and make yourself able to see the bigger picture, it will help you to make the right decision.

There are some things in our control and we can always choose to act in a way that will be profitable for us in the coming days. Instead of worrying about the things that are not in our control which will hinder our performance. Our actions driven by frustration will lead us to failure.

Why do we prefer momentarily pleasure over lasting happiness? The happiness seems uncertain and far away from our reach, and the pleasure is easily in reach. Most of the time we go with pleasure at the expense of happiness.

If you constantly choose short-term pleasures and instant gratification, you may eventually find yourself feeling stuck and regretting those decisions. However, if you commit to hard work, patience, and persistence — even when you don’t see immediate results or receive any recognition — you will ultimately achieve lasting happiness. Your life will become brighter, your goals clearer, and new opportunities will start to appear. Life will have much more to offer you.

Do not worry yourself over past mistakes and instead do the right thing, it is your life and your responsibility. Make the right choices and you create your destiny.
