Verra VM0047: Chloris for ARR project
If you are implementing Verra’s VM0047 methodology for Afforestation, Reforestation, Restoration (ARR) projects, this is for you.
To improve the assessment of project additionality, VM0047 introduces dynamic baselines with a remote sensing-based carbon growth estimate, applied to the project area and control sites.
Although possible to use under VM0047, simple vegetation indices like NDVI and EVI2 struggle to capture the additionality of projects. Indeed, compared to indices such NDVI and EVI2, Chloris outperforms both, capturing vegetation growth on the project area in a more robust and reliable way over time. It means that with Chloris, you can quantify the additionality and integrity of your project in a more trustworthy manner.
And not only that. Chloris data supports all stages of ARR project development:
If you want to see the real impact of your ARR projects and need a monitoring partner, Chloris can help.
New partnership: Chloris and Equitable Earth Coalition for the Global South Communities
Equitable Earth is a new forest carbon standard revolutionizing the voluntary carbon market (VCM) by prioritizing forest communities and Global South countries.
Chloris is proud to be Equitable Earth's exclusive provider of digital monitoring, reporting, and verification (dMRV) of forest carbon data. This partnership brings higher scientific accuracy to forest carbon monitoring and incentivizes and accelerates large-scale forest conservation, benefiting both the environment and local communities.
