Why did you choose to carry out your apprenticeship with Next Level??

When I left college doing A-Levels, and everyone I knew went down the university route, I was left unsure of what to do. University wasn’t for me, but when looking for new jobs I realised many positions needed experience and qualifications that I didn’t have. So, knowing I didn’t want to go to university, meant I’d have to find education and experience elsewhere. I searched around and then found a full-time work position which was also an apprenticeship. This was a no-brainer for me as I’d be earning money and gaining a qualification.?

?Why did you choose the programme you did??

My interest in social media and different interests over the years led me down the path to find a Digital Marketing position. After finding out I’d need some experience, I decided to go down the apprenticeship route. The Digital Marketing Level 3 course that Next Level offered was a City and Guilds course. This was the perfect course for me to take – I could earn money, experience and gain a City and Guilds qualification at the end of it.?

What essential skills did Next Level support you to develop to further you in your career?

Next Level helped me enter the world of work and a career of Digital Marketing. Since the course began, I was learning things from the course content and my day-to-day workload. My confidence grew as I was customer facing in my new role, and online workshops with fellow students.

How valuable was your training in supporting your career?

I achieved a distinction in my Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship. This has helped me massively as I now have a great grade in a very helpful qualification which has done and will help me with my career. Before I started my apprenticeship, I wasn’t sure how I’d be able to break through into Digital Marketing, but Next Level allowed me to achieve the qualification and experience to kick-start my career.?

Talk me through your journey and progression with Next Level?

My tutors ensured that my progress was being monitored throughout the course with 1-2-1 meetings scheduled and tasks set that needed to be completed. Although I was still learning and being taught things, Next Level made me feel respected like any other employee at a job, and not like a student.?

?Anything other comments you want to make or celebrate?

Thank you to Next Level for allowing me to achieve a qualification that has kick-started my career. I am so happy to have found a route that was more suited to me instead of going to university.
