Many times we are faced with obstacles in life that slow us down and prevent us from doing what we are purposely meant to do. I have faced some traumatic obstacles in my life. During traumatic times, one may have trouble verbally expressing how their life has been impacted. I was one of those people.
I began a journal that allowed me to express my thoughts. During my journaling process, I prayed about the very things that I had been going through. I asked God to help me forgive. It was then that I heard God say that other people needed to read my testimony.
“Fighting With Demons,” I didn’t understand at the time what that meant, so I kept journaling, praying. Before I knew it I had written an entire book about the trauma I had endured in life.
When I was in elementary I won first place in the state of Georgia for a journal entry. My late grandfather used to write articles and share them with others. My mother even is a teacher who is also penning her first book. I never thought that I would be where I am today when I was younger.
I thought the trauma I experienced would take me from this earth before I was able to become something. I have found my purpose in ministry to others, to help them heal through their pain.
I recently wrote, edited, and published my first book and I am in the process of penning my next one. I am here to tell you, never think you can’t, because you CAN! Never think you aren’t good enough because you ARE!
Never give up, because this world needs YOU and your story!
