CHINESE VACUUM & BLOWER MANUFACTURERS ARE COMING!
Forty years ago we could see Japanese electro technology companies Omron, Mitsubishi or
Yokogawa were accompanied by dozens more who had little impact on the European market.
Now the Japanese add up to some significant market presence.
Just like the Japanese forty years ago we now see Chinese manufacturers for compressor &
vacuum technology storming towards foreign markets. Many will disappear, but some will
stay.
We can see this development having started on international markets, where entry is easier and brand loyalty is weak: On the Indian market for example, 1 in 10 blower manufacturers have
Chinese origins. And the number is rising! Companies like Changsha Blowers, Greentech, Taiko, or ITO Engineering already capture a notable share of the market, while local Indian manufacturers like Everest Blowers, Kay International or Usha Compressors together still account for the largest share of the Indian market, the pressure has started!
WILL EUROPE EXPERIENCE A SIMILAR DEVELOPMENT?
Have you seen the likes of Jinan Golden Bridge Precision, Zhengzhou Qugong Machinery Equipment or Zhejiang Kaishan Compressor showing at the last Hannover ComVac?
While they are currently coming with a sales oriented approach to find European agents, they will soon have local management & behave just like previous arrivals such as Yaskawa, Yokogawa, Mitsubishi & Omron.
In short, the Chinese are coming and the number is rising! The question is: Just how many of them will remain and what segment of the market will they be able to address?
To answer this, a detailed map identifying all key players on the market & sectors served is needed. Our Research on the blower & vacuum markets will hopefully help to develop a durable strategy!
