China’s Citygreen Sports Group Scores Landmark Deal With Tottenham Hotspur

Ahead of the upcoming Premier League season, China’s leading artificial turf maker Citygreen Sports Group have partnered Tottenham Hotspur.??
The deal—a first for a Chinese artificial turf maker— will see?Citygreen Sports Group as the official synthetic turf supplier of the Premier League club for the 2024-25 season.
Under the deal, Citygreen is poised to install a new synthetic pitch at Tottenham Hotspur’s training centre in Enfield.
The synthetic turf pitch will be used by the men’s and women’s academy teams, as well as community events year-round.
A Citygreen press release emphasised that the Premier League’s greenest club had chosen the the company to??“to provide an environmentally friendly surface that improves the quality of training sessions and supports player development.”
Paul May, training centre director of operations for Tottenham Hotspur, said, “It is fantastic to be working with Citygreen for the forthcoming season as we look to further enhance the facilities at our world-class training centre.”

“This partnership will help the development of players that visit the campus throughout the year, as well as aligning with our mission to reduce our environmental impact across club activities.”According to ASN data, football (34.5%, US$4.1 b +) is the most backed sport in the Asian sponsorship market since Q421, with a share almost equivalent to the next three backed sports; cricket (12.8%), motorsports (12%) and basketball (10.2%). The forecast for Q324 is tipped to hit US$400.1m, about 9.1% above the quarterly average investment of almost US$366.7m since Q421.
