China's 5G base station construction situation and forecast
Judging from the progress of 5G base station construction, the 5G era has come. As of June 2020, 700,000 5G base stations have been built globally, covering the area where contribute 72% of the world’s GDP. China is one of the leading countries in the construction of 5G networks. In 2020, China has built more than 600,000 5G base stations, and the Minister of Industry and Information Technology Xiao Yaqing said at the 2021 National Industry and Information Work Conference held on the Dec 28th 2020, that it plans to build over 600,000 stations station in 2021, which will cover all prefecture-level and above cities across the country. It is expected that China's 5G network will be fully completed by 2022.
