China Tech Law on Substack!
Hi everyone, a short note this week. The China Tech Law Newsletter having passed 3,000 subscribers here on Linkedin, I thought it was time to start publishing the blog on Substack as well. Not everyone comes to Linkedin to read long-form posts, and not everyone gets the newsletter easily delivered to their inbox from Linkedin either (so they can read later).
Substack is a great way for people to follow the posts (more coming soon!) as a typical newsletter subscriber and even to interact more. This blog is a labor of love, I won't be charging for access to posts and also the blog will continue to be published here on Linkedin.
Having said that, if you do prefer to subscribe via Substack, I encourage you to do so! Substack is a clean and crisp format that also makes it easier to recommend blogs that you might be interested in similar to this one (and vice versa).

All the old blog posts are up along with some relevant podcasts I've recorded, but right now China Tech Law Newsletter is a newbie on Substack and a bit lonely there. Show the blog some love by subscribing there as well!
As a final and random closing note, I have to say its been remarkable but not at all surprising that we are seeing a revival in clients looking for contract manufacturing in China. Particularly among mid-market companies. Chinese manufacturers remain best in class and for mid-sized companies, I imagine competing for the shortage of top-end manufacturers in India or SE Asia is leaving them no other option anyway. Its still a supply and demand problem as the bigger players are crowding others out when diversifying with a China + 1 strategy.
That's all for now, please check out the new Substack page, and see you back here next week!

4 周Art Dicker Congrats! IMHO, in terms of newsletter platform. Substack is much better than LinkedIn newsletter.
Much of the best content available about what's happening around China law and compliance...thanks Art
