The yellow mountains in Huangshan and the scenic spots of Guilin

The spicy food in Jiangxi and Hunan

And the famous chicken dish in Sichuan

Most people know of Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen

But there’s more to see and know of the land

Other places like Shaanxi, Hubei and Xi’an

You’ll never be able to fully explore its mountainous terrain

The country is much too vast and diverse

Various dialects and idioms to be heard as you traverse

From Hainan down south to Qinghai

The northern regions of Mongolia and Heliongjong

?

There’s a place and a palette for everyone

Each province’s city and dish can be seen and had

See the cute pandas in Chengdu

Sip on the many different teas grown in Guizhou

?

Acupuncture and tai chi are famous in the west

And their dragon dance is touted as the best

But do you know about erhu or guzheng

And that their culture is influenced by Confucianism

?

Do you know of the many dynasties that earlier ruled

Like Jing, Han, Ming, and Qing

That they have over 55 minorities the majority is Han

Their love of Kong fu and their famous sport ping pong

?

Their culture is made up of many customs and festivals

There is Spring festival, dragon boat festival and others

But while dances and festivals are important

Families are the foundation upon which their culture stands

?

If you’ve never been to China or ventured to the East

Try and consider coming for a visit you will be pleased

Their traditions and culture are well preserved

The respect of their rich history is truly deserved
