Only eligible business travellers from the 19 participating APEC economies can obtain an ABTC

The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) business travel card (ABTC) allows passport holders from the 19 "participating" APEC economies to fast-track entry.

The five-year ABTC provides for green channel clearance entry into other participating APEC economies for 60-90 days, without the need to obtain an additional visa.

Eligibility for an ABTC varies from APEC participating economy to participating economy. Generally, applicants need to demonstrate that they are doing significant business between APEC economies, are frequent travellers and they have need to be granted the card.

The M-Class China business visa is widely available with an Invitation Letter

The M-Class China business visa is widely available to most passport holders for a stay of 30, 60, to 90 days travel to mainland China. The visa's duration is from 6 months to 1-2 years.

The key to obtaining an M-Class visa is to have an "Invitation Letter" from a client, customer, partner, factory or trade fair registered in the mainland.

Our 2023 China business visa guide has an Invitation Letter template and practical tips for successfully applying for an M-Class visa.

Short Stay Visa

At various ports of entry across mainland China, a visa upon arrival can be granted for 24-, 48-, 72- and 144- hours to 53 different passport holders (59 countries for entry to Hainan).

It is essential to check the specific policies at the intended port of entry for the relevant visa option.
