Chill-N Nitrogen Signs 3-Unit Deal with Clivio Family for Kendall, Cutler Bay and Homestead, Florida

Chill-N Nitrogen, the innovative flash-frozen ice cream brand, is thrilled to announce a new franchise deal with the Clivio family. The Clivios have committed to bringing three Chill-N Nitrogen locations to Kendall, Cutler Bay and Homestead, Florida, the first of which is set to open in Kendall in early 2025.

Max Clivio, who will be leading the family venture, brings a strong background in finance and a deep passion for entrepreneurship. A graduate of Tufts University with a degree in economics, Max worked in a finance role in a family office in New York, gaining invaluable experience in understanding and managing businesses. However, his true calling was inspired by his parents, Tara and Roberto Clivio, both accomplished entrepreneurs.

“My mom has been incredibly successful with her 13 pilates studios, and my dad ran a development company in Jamaica,” Max said. “Watching them while growing up has been the most motivational thing for me. Seeing their achievements made me realize that entrepreneurship is the path I want to follow too.”

The idea of franchising with Chill-N Nitrogen came naturally to Max, a long-time loyal consumer of the brand.?

“I’ve been a big fan of Chill-N for a long time. It’s definitely my family’s go-to ice cream spot,” he said.?

One day when Max stopped in for a treat, he noticed a QR code on display, advertising franchising opportunities. Immediately, he was intrigued. He rushed home to introduce the idea to his parents, and after that, the Clivios moved quickly to explore the potential business ownership opportunity.?

“My dad is usually very diligent and never jumps at an idea until he fully understands it,” said Max. “But when I brought this to him, he immediately responded saying, ‘That sounds like a really good idea.’ When he said that, I knew we had hit something special.”

Max's parents have been instrumental in the process, leveraging their extensive business experience to guide him through lease negotiations and other crucial steps as he navigates his first business ownership experience.?

After the first Chill-N Nitrogen location is up and running in Kendall, the family plans to expand to Cutler Bay and Homestead shortly after. The Clivios are committed to ensuring a seamless launch and successful operations, and are already enthusiastically considering the potential for further expansion in the future.

“We’re starting with one location, but the vision is to open as many as possible,” said Max. “There's a massive market for Chill-N, and within the three regions we have alone, there’s definitely room for multiple locations.”
