Child Labour- A Curse on Humanity
Abstract?
India is a democratic country. Still we are facing such problems like poverty, sexual harassment, child labour, unemployment, lack of better medical health facilities to workers and below poverty line. Child labour is one of the major problem in our society. Every citizen was a child after his/her birth. Children are the ? gifts of God. When there is a birth of child in rich or middle class families everyone is praised to God and give all the blessings to the child. And in other case if the child is born in poor family or BPL family then they become the burden to the family and they get involved their children in working with them. Many children in just small age? working in different sectors like on tea- stalls, restaurants, factories, hotels, houses and some other constructions sites are called i.e. called child labourers ? although there parents having love, affection, protection towards their child .They don't have enough money to educate their child so they have no option. They are getting involving their children only just to feed them. These are some basic points about on child labour. Let’s discuss more on child labour in this article.
INTRODUCTION
Children are the most vulnerable group of our society they are the one who will bright to the country they are the future to this country . If guided well to them, they can lead the future. Nowadays, we discover that they are directed to labour which indirectly affects the growth of the country. Children’s need to be educated their age is not for work it is for to study, to play outside, to explore and learn new things and they also need to enjoy being a kid. When one child labour saw another child going to school it’s such a embrace part for them and this all is just a dream. It’s such a terrible and shameful that one out of every eight children around the world today is child labourer. These small kids working for the roti, kapda, makaan, essentials instead of education. Under extreme socio-economic pressure, parents force their children to work from a very small age. There are many innocent children who are trapped in poverty with absolutely no hope for escape & denied the basic right to a healthy, happy childhood.?
We need to protect them from any form of exploitation & from wrongful activities and to provide them a healthy environment with all healthy initiatives? to grow and develop their potential. We the only citizens can help free India from the curse of child labour. If our nation will treats children properly and provides? them with the basic facilities then it would get reflected in the future performance of the nation. The moral duty of the nation is to ensure that the childhood of every child is protected.?
Meaning:
Those children who are working in the age group of under 14 in any road site area, like restaurants, in home, in malls, in garage shops, rag pickers, industrial site etc. are called child labour whether they are working forcefully? or their willing to do work is defined as a child labourer. Children are directed to manual labour it may be like begging on streets, or with some forced into hazardous work through trafficking like selling small items like balloons, car essentials items which is no place to be for a minor. Most of the people forced small kids to beg on the road or sell something and in return they took all the money from children. It is the illegal act of forcing young children to work.?
Causes of Child labour:?
From the child labourers perspective was poverty, illiteracy of parents, social and economic? circumstances of the family are such the underlying cause for their labouring. As children may be driven into work for various reasons. Most often, child labour occurs when families have financial challenges or uncertainty – whether due to poverty, sudden illness of a caregiver, or job loss of a primary wage earner. Child labour is a hazardous situation, some people took? no responsibilities about their health, safety measures and if children can result in extreme bodily and mental harm, and even death then there is no such mean to do anything.?
There is also a lack of awareness related to the harmful effects of child labour and lack of access to basic and quality education, cultural values of the family and the surroundings of the society in which one is living and it is also increasing the rate of child labour. There are high rates of unemployment so it’s also play a vital role in child labour.?
Children who discontinue school due to family indebted and they also not able to afford much fees in giving education due to that reason children are expelled from the school and are more prone to child labour.?
Now, major cause of child labour in India are:
Due to very poor financial conditions people borrowed money and sometimes illiterate seek some loan from big money lenders or seths during emergency situation . If families faced difficulties in paying back debts and interest, as a result they used to work for money lenders for full day and night and money lenders also drag their children, families too in assisting them so that the loans could be pay off due that reason also children took stressed with them in order to pay debt of their families and support them

Sometime industry needs delicate? and soft hand-made items like bangle making, wood small item accessories, little fingers are needed to do very minute work with extreme? excellence and precision. An adults hands are usually not so delicate and small, so they require children to work for them? and do such a dangerous work with glass. This often resulted in eye accidents of the children.
Drawbacks:
As we talked about that the increasing of poverty level is the major cause to child labour. These children remains with no other choices left to working. Children are helpless they are working for their survivals and for their families. If they don’t work they will die due to hunger and poverty. There is lack of implementations of child laws. Every citizen of India’s sees child working at various places. In some areas politicians or government officials or other public authority forgot to work on children they totally ignore child labourers problems that what they are dealing with it.?
Remedies:
We can only hope to our system to out government all are in their hands, is the only remedy. Our only government should take necessary steps to prevent poverty through giving? employment to the people, to the poor families of the child labour, to the one that needs of. Some effective measures should also be taken to educate the poor family children . Special Schools should be open for the poor children near that place where the most of the child labourers are coming from. The government should also allocate the necessary funds to educate & nurture the poor children. The violators of child labour laws should be punished accordingly and strictly passed the bill for the child labours those who will be giving work to under 14 year age child will be punished and liable to fine and imprisonment.?
Constitutional Provisions for Child Upliftment:
The State shall provide free and compulsory education to all children of the age of 6 to 14 years in such manner as the State, by law, may determine.
No child below the age fourteen years shall be employed in work in any factory or mine or engaged in any other hazardous employment.
that the health and strength of workers, men and women, and the tender age of children are not abused and that citizens are not forced by economic necessity to enter avocations unsuited to their age or strength.

In this article we talk about on child labour, there causes , Drawbacks, Constitutional provisions for child upliftment, and what are the remedies that should be taken by the government all these measures can only be done through? spreading awareness among people? and we can eradicate child labour. Generally the child of poor families work as Child labour. So , there must be more employment among the poor people. Government should provide more jobs .
