We are currently recruiting for a Chief Financial Controller with Company Secretary experience to join a dynamic, forward thinking and growing manufacturer in Caerphilly.

As the Chief Financial Controller and Company Secretary, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all financial aspects of our company while also managing the responsibilities of a Company Secretary.

You will be responsible for leading the finance team, providing strategic financial guidance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and managing corporate governance responsibilities.

Your responsibilities as Chief Financial Controller and Company Secretary:

  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards, staying abreast of changes and proactively implementing necessary adjustments.

  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to safeguard the company's assets and financial integrity.

  • Collaborate with the executive team in developing and executing strategic initiatives to support the company's growth and financial objectives.

  • Coordinate and manage external audits, liaising with auditors and ensuring the timely completion of audits.

Additional Duties as Company Secretary:

  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, ensuring the company's adherence to corporate legal responsibilities.

  • Facilitate effective communication between the board, management, and shareholders, ensuring proper documentation and dissemination of information.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date corporate records, including minutes of meetings, resolutions, and legal documents.

  • Prepare and submit annual statutory returns and other required filings to regulatory authorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, preferably in manufacturing.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
