I first met Pat when he transferred after graduation to EOD Mobile Unit NINE located at Mare Island, California. Pat had a lot of friends and knew everyone it seemed in the unit. His prior experience and tours as an EOD Assistant and Mark 6 Marine Mammal handler made him easy to talk to - I did not know him well - but I admired how well he got along with everyone and knew he would go far. He had that natural leadership qualities that are easy to spot. I am certain there are shipmates that will add to this memorial. I felt it was necessary to add him to the list and recognize him as part of Challenge 2022. Although he was not a classmate or an instructor - we shared the EODMU NINE experience and were Second Class Petty Officers at EODMU9 together. I believe the Sky-God and warrior would approve we are running 2022 Miles to raise awareness to Veteran Suicide. The link where you can read his entire memorial can be found at the virtual Navy EOD memorial is below and I include others memorials below that - a testimony of the lives Pat touched. RIP Brother!
