#TPIX, the largest internet exchange center in Taiwan, is seeking as many business opportunities as it can with #OTT, #CDN, and eyeballs service providers. The number of members using the #TPIX service is currently around 114, and this figure keeps growing. As Chief focus on its strategy for the new datacenter, LY2, and the three fiber ring; namely the Chief Campus, Nationwide and International fiber ring, it hopes that it can attract similar service providers to explore new business models and build up their collaboration with each other.
Having set ourselves such an ambitious goal, we at Chief have been thinking how best to appoarch it, and after much discussion, we believe a more open alliance strategy is needed to engage with several important resellers and other IXs partners to become our future partners. In the new TPIX program for those partners, we will plan the reseller package and IX package with the promotion price and more service delivery points including our subsea cable service.
For the IX package, Chief will include its CIX service, which can divide a big capacity of bandwidth into smaller capacity packages to suit the requirements of end clients. In this way, the TPIX service will be able to send data from Taiwan to other countries through Chief's existing subsea cable to Chief's POP site in that country, and via the CIX service with a shorter path to reach the destination partner's IX. All of the collaboration models can work both way.
Chief will extend its connectivity service with its IDC service.
