Chevron to resume supplying gas from the Tamar field

We started this week with an important update in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Chevron, the operator of Israel's Tamar natural gas field, announced that the natural gas supply from the offshore field had resumed. The gas supply will maintain as normal to customers in Israel and the region.

According to the officials in the industrial site, the Tamar gas field will operate with full capacity in the upcoming days.

After the conflict in Gaza broke out, Chevron was asked by Israel's Energy Ministry to halt production in the Tamar gas field due to safety concerns, which was followed by the suspension of EMG pipeline.

As the conflict between Israel and Hamas eased, supplies to Egypt has increased 60% (350-400 million cubic feet per day) since earlier this month. However, it is unlikely that Egypt could rise its LNG export to Europe as the country suffers from higher domestic consumption.
