Cherished memories...
As I sifted through the remnants of time in my home office, a framed treasure tucked away in the corner transported me to a moment filled with nostalgia and warmth. The frame held not just pictures but a collection of memories crafted with love and friendship by the incredible Room Attendants of The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco.
Exactly 15 years ago, on January 6, 2009, I bid farewell to The Ritz-Carlton San Francisco, embarking on a new adventure across the globe with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in Hong Kong. On my last day, these remarkable Room Attendants gifted me a heartfelt collage of pictures, capturing the essence of our last Christmas Party together.
The images and pictures painted a vivid scene of a night adorned with elegance, as we danced and reveled in the joy of camaraderie. I recall the waltz and the enchanting moments, coupled with the request to sing a Filipino ballad, "I'll Never Say Goodbye." The song echoed my sentiments - unable to bid adieu but opting for a farewell, as I knew our paths would cross again.
Fast forward to 2019, I returned from my Hong Kong endeavors and briefly joined the Luxury Team of Marriott Hotels. During my re-orientation at the familiar Ritz-Carlton, I was greeted by familiar faces – some still diligently working, others I was told were in retirement, and sadly, a few had passed away.
These are more than just memories; they are threads that weave a tapestry of shared experiences, love, and friendship. The Room Attendants of The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco, have left an indelible mark on my heart. As I reflect on these cherished moments, I am reminded that the bonds we form in the journey of life endure, transcending time and distance.
May we carry the spirit of those joyous nights and heartfelt farewells in our hearts, for it is the essence of these connections that makes our professional journey truly extraordinary.

Below is an official gift from my fellow Executive Committee members showing a vintage picture of the hotel. It was, once upon a time, one of only five hotels in the USA that received the coveted 5 Stars (Forbes Travel Guide) and 5 Diamonds (AAA Travel) for both the Hotel and the Restaurant.
