Sit with your parents, talk to them, One day, they will silently fade away.
Let them be free, Let them spend, Let them live by their own will, One day, they will leave everything behind for you.
Don’t scold them repeatedly, as they repeat the same things, One day, you will long to hear their voice when it falls silent.
Take as many blessings as you can, By bowing down and touching their feet, One day, they will turn into a picture, And by then, your apologies won’t matter.
Don’t speak ill of them in front of others, let them eat as they please, Then, watch, they won’t even come to the table anymore, No matter how many times you celebrate their anniversaries.
Heartfelt Perspective: This reflection isn't just about a passing moment, but about the essence of love, respect, and the time we have with our loved ones. Parents age, and with each passing day, they get closer to leaving us. It's a painful reality, but it's one we must face. The love and lessons they provide are irreplaceable, yet we tend to forget that until it's too late. So, before you let another day slip away, take a moment to embrace your parents, listen to their stories, and cherish the time you have together. Don't wait for regret to hit you when silence fills the air where their voices once were.
Call to Action: I would love to hear your thoughts on this. How do you cherish your parents' presence? What little moments do you hold dear? Share your reflections and ideas with me — let's celebrate the love we often overlook.
