cheqd Updates: Preparing for our next on ledger upgrade, speaking at events, hosting panels and more… 24 Jun 22
Hello cheqmates,
This week at cheqd we’ve had our heads down across the team, continuing to build some great functionality which we’re excited to release to the network soon, plus working on our partnerships and overall marketing strategy as always.?
Here’s a few highlights and things you might want to know…?
Events
Fraser participated in the 'Where do we go from here? Driving explosive growth for user-centric digital identity" panel alongside James Smith, AVAST, John Phillips, SEZOO, and Dick Dekkers, Digidentity, at the MyData event in Helsinki, Finland.
He also hosted the 'Self-Sovereign Identity: New Recurring Revenue for Existing Data' webinar at BrightTalk. Watch the recording here:
Marketing
For the marketing team it was a week of 'summer' cleaning, in which we moved to different marketing platforms, worked on the next batch of communications and articles, and also prepared the onboarding of our new Community Manager, who will start mid next month.
We're also working on refreshing our website. We’ve been speaking to a range of agencies but it’s always good to hear from our community - if you know of any amazing Web3 design agencies please reach out to the team!?
Elina, our content lead, also went to the Digital Marketing World Forum 2022 to broaden her marketing skills. She’s brought back some great insights which we’ll certainly look to include in our marketing strategy.?
Oh, and last but not least, we have been working with some partners to join other events in the future. Watch this space. :wink
Product & Partnerships?
In the Product & Engineering team we’ve made some great progress in a few key areas including:

- Implementing our approach for improving the way schemas are managed on ledger
- Finalising the architecture and implementing our approach to make it easier for our partners to create and manage DIDs on the cheqd ledger, and issue credentials, using the Veramo SDK.?
More information on both of the above will be coming out in the next few weeks.?
As always, we’re eager for the cheqd network to be built with and for our SSI partners so this week we had check-ins with 7 of our partners to hear their feedback and we’re thrilled by the reception this innovative approach has received so far.?
