Sixteen-year-old cancer fighter and baseball player Milind was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia after coming to CHEO with severe back pain. As he progresses through his three-year treatment protocol, Milind doesn’t let his diagnosis weaken his spirit. With wisdom beyond his years, Milind says his experience has shaped his desire to hang on to positive energy and strength during the ups and downs.

A quick learner with a love for education, Milind has his sights set on returning to school full time and resuming all the activities that he loves. Cancer has not dimmed Milind’s cheerful personality, sparkling intellect, or more importantly, his kindness.
