Chennai - Cheer Up!

The words will be on the minds of Loyal Chennai Vasis, ones like Me, for some time now. The week had been horrendous, given the Cyclone Michaung creating havoc amongst the people, the residences, the work places and everywhere. Whilst people living out of the Country were concerned about the loved ones here, the Humanity of Chennai showed its True face, with unknown hands reaching out to the affected community. Cooking for an entire community or the neighbourhood, sharing accommodation and services, rowing the boat in knee filled waters to have the islanded residents to safer places - showed what Chennai is all about. There have been insights from personalities across of how an Industrial and Tech Zone Chennai is impacted and the financial calculations of the loss during this period. The Politicians start a blame game, the People start what they know best - Selfless SERVICE. But in the midst of all this, Life continues - and when after the Waters recede, and life comes to Normal, with all the honking, rash driving and meaningless scolding, the images of JCBs carrying Engineers to work, helicopters hovering to drop in food and essential supplies, religious places opened for accommodation, will reside in our Hearts and Minds.

We did it in 2015 and we will do it Again. Chennai! Cheer up! We will bounce back!
