ChenMedders Help Foster Kids Get Ready for Class! ??

As parents and children make the school car lines again, some underserved kids have gotten a jump start thanks to ChenMedder's donations.

Over the summer, ChenMed partnered with?4KIDS?to donate over 100 backpacks filled with school supplies to set students up for success this upcoming school year. 4KIDS is a non-profit organization that brings hope to babies, kids, teens, and young adults by providing safe and secure environments for healing, equipping parents and caregivers who are trained to love kids who come from difficult backgrounds, providing essential resources to meet children’s physical needs, and counseling them to thrive.

Throughout the month of July, ChenMed team members worked together to collect school supplies for children. Teams purchased backpacks, folders, pens, pencils, and other essentials for kindergarten through third-grade students to prosper. After all the supplies were purchased, they volunteered their time to fill the backpacks and prep them to be delivered to 4KIDS.

“We have a special partnership with 4KIDS,” says ChenMed Cares Foundation Manager, Torrie Jackson-Hartley. “As ChenMed works to provide VIP care to seniors in underserved communities, 4KIDS works to provide quality care and love to children who need it most. We’re happy to have donated over 100 backpacks to support their back-to-school drive.”

Children received their backpacks prior to classes starting, so they could learn, play, and grow alongside their classmates.
