The whole world stood amazed when a child designed a Flying Saucer. It moved, darted through the air and could carry as many things and people as could fit in. It could go beyond the speed of light, change form and weight was inconsequential. Baffled scientists wondered how an eight year old child could make such things ever, something the world has never seen or even thought.
Swiftly working with metal parts and at times fusing different materials in ways that the world never witnessed, Chen was at times considered to be an alien. However, he was an average student, who struggled with Maths and Chemistry. Yet he seemed to understand complex formulae that were needed to design a flying saucer that would defy all rationale of gravity, have inexhaustible source of energy and change forms while going beyond the speed of light in seconds.
When asked, Chen said it was rather simple. We think of light as a carrier of information. What if light is information? Due to the large squinted eyes, his brain seemed to process things differently. He would mistake a tree to be a rock, a rock as a buffalo and at times food as a living object. People would laugh at him then, and his parents would be worried. Chen later realized that when people looked at light, they saw a bright speck or a rainbow, but when he looked at a few stars, it seemed as lot of information in a structured manner was reaching him.
As he grew and read a lot about alien life and planets, he further understood that the light from the stars contained information on many things - how to make fertilizers that increase agricultural yield without any chemicals being used. Chen used that in his fathers garden and they papaya on trees in ten days, starting with a seed. This then went on with some magical medicines and also techniques to roast a chicken in fifteen seconds.
As Chen understood over time, the aliens stars and planets where life existed were constantly sending information embedded in light on how to make flying saucers and reduce the time needed to grow food, that would instantaneously solve the global hunger. He could understand this information easily, while all others could not even receive it. This also irked a lot or people who wanted to have a say in the way the world worked.
Those people came up with an idea. They told the government that if Chen was made into a national resource and all his ideas patented, there would be amazing thoughts and the country would make a lot of money and prosper. That was done. Chen was declared a national resource and kept in a large palace with enough servants to cater to every need, lots of engineers and scientists to document his thoughts and make patented inventions. Everyone earned and nation progressed. Much to the dissatisfaction of those few who wanted to earn only.
Then these people told the government, what if we have a thousand Chens. How would that work? Excited with the thought the government approved the idea to dissect Chen and capture the way his system worked. Make elaborate replicas of Chen and put them to work for the nation. The scientists teamed up and started analyzing Chens mind. Firstly through non destructive processes and then through a surgery.
After the medical intervention as per the Government released bulletin, Chen could not survive the fatal stress that aliens exerted to his mind and therefore he died. However, the Government declared Chen a national hero, due to whom the country in a short span of five years became the world richest and most innovative country. His village was renamed as Chendo.
Chen's parents wondered why did their little boy die at a tender age of 13.
