Chemistry of Anger

We inherited our brain from fishes. Every single information, signals received, were assessed for threat “Is the signal a friend or a foe?”?
This is known as “Fight and Flight” response. It is survival instinct.
If there is a mugger on a lone street or we see an approaching car while crossing a road, “Flight and Fight” response is activated.
In case of humans it is not limited to a physical threat but also threat to our perceived beliefs, ideas, behaviour, thoughts, emotions and feelings that the Ego has nurtured and stored. The Ego develops a transactional relationship with relationships, wealth, power, fame and so on.
Mind has likes and dislikes. Every idea or thought that challenges the embedded belief also activates “Fight or Flight” response and results in resentment or anger.
“Flight and Fight” response increases the?blood pressure, our breathing becomes faster, heart pumps blood faster and sends it to hands and feet for either running away or fighting the perceived danger. The response shuts blood supply to less important functions like digestion, reproduction and immune system.
In the brain, catecholamines (chemical neurotransmitter) are released giving us a burst of energy. This burst of energy enables the body to take immediate protective action. These are good molecule in the face of actual threat but in case of perceived threats mentioned above, they harm the body.?
Cause of anger is an opposition to embedded beliefs and self-centred ideas of the Ego populated with lies, deception and ignorance.?They also generate the same response as “Fight or Flight”
The amygdala is so efficient at warning us about threats, that it gets us reacting before the cortex (the part of the brain responsible for thoughts and judgment) is able to check on the reasonableness of our reaction. Surprisingly, our brains are wired in such a way as to influence us to act before we can properly consider the consequences of our actions.?Therefore, Anger is one of the most devastating emotion and can cause irreparable harm to one self.
Do not take actions/decisions under the influence of ANGER.
