Debunking myths :

1) All chemicals are not bad.

2) Natural does not mean good.

3) Dose makes the poison.

"President Obama banned the use of dihydrogen monoxide to torture detainee yet still allows it to be given to children at school " In other words;water. Don't be scare from scary names of chemicals.Everything is a chemical. So not all chemicals are bad.

Arsenic is natural , so is snake venom. Natural doesn't mean safe.Similarly green doesn't mean healthy. Green chemicals may break down quickly in the environment but can have long term impact in our health.

"Dose makes the poison." A scientific American article talks about a 28 year old woman who competed in a radio station context called hold your Wii for a Wii. Wii is a Nintendo electronic game console . So this woman drank six litres of water in 3 hours and was not allowed to use the bathroom. She vomited, had an headache and died. Most people doesn't think water to be toxic but 6 litres in 3 hrs clearly can be. On the other side NaCN or KCN would kill most of the people in a single tablespoon. Hence dose makes the poison is justified.

Cyanide is a naturally occurring chemical, found in plants. Its been used in conventional warfares and for poisoning in 2 millennia . So the message is again remembered Natural doesn't mean safe.

If we replace bisphenol A (BPA) with BPS or BPF , do you guarantee it is less dangerous than BPA? We know a very little about the later two.

Similarly in pear we find 12000microgram of HCHO formaldehyde while in vaccines only 100 micrograms which is less than 1% of the amount in a pear.

I want to portray that chemical revolution that introduced all sorts of chemicals into our lives was a good thing; that not all chemicals are bad. I also wanted to remind that natural doesn't necessarily mean healthy. The third thing is dose always makes the poison. We can be  be exposed to some chemicals in small doses and don't have to worry. Lastly , I want to say that banning and substituting one chemical for another sometimes just create new problems.
