Life's a wild journey, filled with ups, downs, and unexpected twists. Arguing on Linkedin on about a Cheetah vs Leopard is not worth my energy.
A fellow LinkedIn subscriber posted this incredible video. In the clip, a cheetah, dragged underwater by an alligator, somehow emerged victorious with the alligator in its jaws. Or at least that's what it looked like. To me, this was more than just a nature video; it was a metaphorical reminder that even when life pulls you down, you can come out on top. You bet I reposted that video right away!
But hold on, it wasn't all smooth sailing. A couple of gentlemen were quick to point out that the video was actually two clips spliced together, with a wet leopard in the second part instead of the cheetah. They accused the video – and by extension, me – of being manipulative.
Now, I'm no animal expert, and I sure can't tell a wet leopard from a dry cheetah. All I knew was that the message was uplifting. Their focus was on the 'inaccuracy' of the kill, while I was all about the inspiration.
These comments felt like a jab at my character, turning my positive intention
What's the meaning of a manipulative person? Well, it's someone who uses controlling tactics to cause confusion or avoid responsibility. But was that me in this situation? I don't think so.

Here's the thing: We can all look at a situation and see either the good or the bad, depending on our mindset
I choose to find the good. To discover it, to unveil it, like a kid in a cornfield looking for a lost baseball. I know it's there somewhere, and I won't let the naysayers drag me down.
In the end, life's too short to get caught up in the negativity. Let's focus on the inspirational messages

1 年I agree with you Bill, focus on the inspiration and don't look for the inaccuracies. That is unless they truly matter, which in this case it did not seem it did. ??

1 年If you want to grow into a big tree, don't stare at lush weeds. The author is a lovely person. The Chinese sage Zhuang Zi had a parable that goes like this A well frog cannot speak of the sea, and a summer insect cannot speak of ice! - ?Big Idea: Human life is limited, but knowledge is infinite, and the pursuit of infinite knowledge with a limited life is bound to fail. Seeking knowledge is part of life, but definitely not the whole of life. One can only selectively acquire some knowledge according to interest and need.
