?? Cheers to the Week: Wine Festival, Workplace Appreciation, Networking, and Gen Z Insights Await!
Graduation season is upon us, and it's time to celebrate! Whether it's high school, college, or trade school, achieving this milestone is a significant accomplishment. It reminds us that every milestone is worthy of celebration.
First, I'd like to express my gratitude to the amazing Nancy Williams of No More Empty Pots for extending an invitation that allowed me to experience the incredible Kiewit Luminarium space firsthand. During the recent outing, I had the pleasure of running into two former classmates - Marcus Ross and Amanda Kephart - from Bryan High School in South Omaha. It was a delightful surprise to reconnect with them. What struck me was how one friend referred to all three of us as "scrappy." It perfectly captured our resourcefulness and determination to break barriers and carve our own paths in life. Today, all three of us hold leadership positions in our respective fields, and the journey from our challenging years in school to the chaotic real world has been a true testament to our resilience.
With graduation season in full swing, I want to share some advice with all the new graduates out there:
"Take the time to relish every moment, not because it might be your last, but because we often forget to pause and celebrate each accomplishment as it happens. Sit in that feeling of accomplishment and let it fuel your drive to keep pushing forward. Congratulations! The world is now your playground."
Speaking of celebrations, there's an event coming up that you won't want to miss. The award-winning Toast Nebraska Wine Festival is making its grand return to Aksarben's Stinson Park this weekend. The combination of great wine, a vibrant atmosphere, and the opportunity to enjoy it all with friends and fellow wine enthusiasts is simply unbeatable.

Positive feedback and gratitude can truly make a difference in any work environment. In fact, it's essential. So, we dive into the power of gratitude and why it's so important to express appreciation in the workplace.
