Hey LinkedIn fam,
I've made a decision that's both terrifying and exhilarating. I'm dedicating 2025 to really looking in the mirror. Not the kind that shows you if you've got spinach in your teeth, but the one that reflects your soul.
I will see you all in 2026. It's go time.
Why? Because growth isn't just about business metrics. It's about facing the person staring back at you.
Now, let's talk focus. We've all been there. Scattered thoughts...(ADHD BRAIN)
A to-do list longer than a Costco receipt and the attention span of a goldfish on espresso.
But here's the thing: focus isn't just about willpower. It's a skill. And like any skill, it can be honed.
It has taken me years to look in the mirror.
So, here are some tips that have helped me stay focused (when I'm not binge-watching cat videos):
1. The "Two-Minute Rule": Do it now if a task takes less than two minutes. It's like ripping off a Band-Aid, but for productivity!

2. The "Pomodoro Technique" involves Working in 25-minute bursts. It's like HIIT for your brain. THIS HAS CHANGED MY LIFE AS SOMEONE WHO STRUGGLES WITH ADHD.
3. "Eat the Frog": Do your most challenging task in the morning. It's not as gross as it sounds, I promise.
4. "Single-tasking": Focus on one task at a time. Multitasking is like trying to pat your head and rub your belly while riding a unicycle. Spoiler: It doesn't end well.
5. "Digital Detox": Regularly unplug from technology. Your brain will thank you, and so will your eyeballs.
Remember, focus isn't about being perfect. It's about progress. It's about showing up for yourself, even when Netflix calls your name...or the new Housewives of RHOBH.
As I embark on this journey of self-reflection in 2025, I'm determined to face my strengths, weaknesses, and everything in between. It won't be easy, but nothing worth doing ever is.
So, here's to looking in the mirror, facing what we see, and becoming the best versions of ourselves.
Who's with me on this journey?! Let's push through the robots and keep the vulnerability ALIVE AS HUMANS!

3 周The mirror doesn’t just reflect, it reveals. Growth isn’t just about refining focus but also about embracing what we see, flaws and all. One thing that helped me is redefining ‘productivity’ as progress, not perfection. Article was a good read Melissa Jaalaid
